Celebrate thirty years of Fernwood with Thirtywood, a new podcast highlighting some of the radical publishing house’s most impactful authors!  In this fifteen episode season, host Nora Loreto asks how radical books contribute to the work of political movements featuring conversations with authors like El Jones, Ardath Whynacht, Elizabeth Comack, Shawn Wilson, AJ Withers and Renee Linklater. This 30th anniversary show embraces the dynamism of transformative world-building, the power of critical inquiry, and the joy of justice as Nora and her guests discuss some of today’s most pressing issues in social movements and independent political publishing, with new episodes every two weeks until May 2023.

Nora Loreto

Nora Loreto is an activist based in Quebec City. She is the author of Take Back the Fight, Organizing Feminism in the Digital Age (2020) and Spin Doctors: How Media and Politicians Misdiagnosed the COVID-19 Pandemic and presents regularly on media relations, social media and online security and privacy.

Nora also writes regularly for magazines, newspapers and online outlets, speaks about social movement organizing, activism and the far right and co-hosts Sandy and Nora Talk Politics with Sandy Hudson and Fernwood Publishing‘s Take Back the Fight podcast with Harbinger.
