Chris used to work for Postmedia; now, he works for you. After almost a decade at The Montreal Gazette, he started The Rover to escape corporate ownership and tell the stories you won’t find anywhere else. Since then, Chris and The Rover have won a Canadian Association of Journalists award, a Medal of the National Assembly, and a Judith Jasmin award — the highest honour in Quebec journalism.
Isaac Peltz
Isaac Peltz
Isaac Peltz is a non-binary musician turned journalist. They started freelancing in 2022, doing photography, filming, and interviewing as a freelancer. They have since jumped into journalism full time, winning a major grant with the Association of independent Journalists of Quebec, as well as publishing in both French and English.
Gabrielle Brassard-Lecours
Gabrielle Brassard-Lecours
Gabrielle Brassard-Lecours est journaliste indépendante. Titulaire d’une maîtrise en journalisme international, elle a cofondé Ricochet puis Pivot, dont elle est présidente. Elle est également vice-présidente de l’Association des journalistes indépendants du Québec (AJIQ). Elle a publié de nombreux articles dans différents médias québécois et codirigé un ouvrage collectif sur la relève journalistique, Prendre parole (Somme Toute, 2021).
