Johanna Mellis

Johanna Mellis is a former Division I swimmer and currently an
Assistant Professor of History at Ursinus College outside of
Philadelphia. She teaches courses on world/global history, European
history, sport, the Cold War, imperialism, oral history, and more. Her
book examines how Hungarian sportspeople navigated state socialism and
the IOC’s cultural imperialism during the Cold War. She is on Twitter

Derek Silva is Associate Professor of Sociology at King’s University College where he teaches on sport, sociology, criminology, terrorism, and work.
