David Kattenburg is a Canadian journalist, radio broadcaster and web publisher currently based in the Netherlands. His audio-centric Green Planet Monitor website, launched in 2007, focuses on global ecology, human development, social justice and sci-tech-health issues. He also produces stories for CBC, Deutsche Welle and The World — based on travels around the world — and has trained young journalists and radio producers in Africa, Palestine and Cambodia. David earned biology and health sciences degrees from McMaster University, cutting his radio teeth at CFMU, McMaster Radio.
