Gender Troubles is a podcast dedicated to debunking, demystifying and making accessible the world of academic feminism. Emma May and Eva Espeneshade talk through different feminist movements and moments from a critical, leftist lens. Episodes will work to shake up the feminist canon and provide a new spin on feminist history, movements, and icons.

Eva Espenshade is a graduate of the Simone de Beauvoir Institute for Gender and Sexuality Studies at Concordia University and currently lives in her hometown of Burlington, Vermont. She was previously the managing editor for “Subversions: a Journal of Feminist Queries”, and the creator of many a riot grrl zine in high school.
Emma May is a musician and writer and is working on a chapbook called “humming” that discusses music and memory.
